Full mid-grade with a layout change, 200+ sq ft: $48,000-$68,000. Add moving plumbing, relocating appliances, demolishing a non-load-bearing wall, and upgraded fixtures.
Ultra-custom showroom contractor, same exact materials as mid-grade: $85,000-$150,000. The difference is almost entirely in overhead — design fees, showroom rent, procurement markups, brand premium — not in the physical kitchen you get.

Can I see three past projects at my price point with client references? What's your written policy if you miss a deadline? Any contractor who flinches at these is showing you exactly how the project will go.
